| Summary / Recommendations |
| Chassis #1 : |
| Mechanical Test : Pass |
| Thermal Test : Pass |
| PSU : No PSU testing was conducted |
| Congratulations
on passing the thermal and mechanical testing with the configuration described
above. The chassis provided met the thermal requirements for components
in the tested configuration .
Please note that system level thermal performance is configuration dependent. Successful results from this test does not guarantee thermal specification compliance for all possible system configurations. You are strongly urged to conduct your won testing with multiple configurations. The only front bezel vents noted were located at the very bottom of the bezel. Vents in this location will be blocked if the chassis is placed on a carpeted floor. It is recommended that the vents be moved to the front surface of the front surface of the bezel or add feet to the chassis to prevent the vents from being blocked. In addition , vents located near the bottom of the removable side cover may help improve the overall chassis thermal performance , possibly allowing a reduction in the number of fans. Also noted during inspection of the chassis was the front fan mount design. The front fan mount will allow air to recalculate around the front fan , reducing its effectiveness. Redesign of the front fan mount is recommended. Thank you once again for your participation in the Plugfest. The Following are TASK's solutions to INTEL's recommendations : (Presently , all Task's chassis are modified as below) 1.
Four plastic rounded feet is added to elevate the chassis and prevent
the vents from being blocked. |
